Easy Setup MailFoundry Archive is a simple device to install, configure and bring into service. There is no additional software to install on your email servers or on your desktop clients. All of the capabilities of the archive are handled on-board the appliance, and if the optional off-site backup/disaster recovery feature is enabled, your valuable email data will be securely replicated in our data center on a schedule that is selected through the web based interface. Realtime Email Archive MailFoundry Archive is based on our own unique foundation of email infrastructure software that is proven to handle large amount of email in realtime without delaying final email delivery. The MailFoundry Archive engine is specifically designed for archive functionality and is fine tuned as such. From the time the email is handled by MailFoundry Archive, it is accessible via the search and recovery tools in the admin interface. No waiting for your data. Powerful Search and Discovery Tools MailFoundry Archive has easy to use, but powerful search and discovery tools to help identity, locate and recover data quickly. From basic searches to complex discovery needs, the search tools will handle requests in a timely manner. If the optional offsite backup/disaster recovery function is enabled, the offsite data is searchable via the same interface, so you don't need to look in two places to find your valuable data. Offsite Backup and Disaster Recovery Having your data handy in a single purpose appliance is reassuring, but what if your physical office is destroyed by fire or worse? By enabling the optional offsite backup and disaster recovery function built into every MailFoundry Archive appliance, your data is replicated offsite into our secure data centers for quick recovery onto either a new MailFoundry Archive appliance, or you can access it directly via our web based interface if needed. We recognize that our customers will each use the appliance in different ways according to their individual needs. We've designed flexibility into the architecture of MailFoundry Archive so that your offsite backup space can be a realtime expansion storage center working in concert with the appliance in your network. For example - if you have the base model Archive appliance, the 1500, and you need to store more email than you have local disk space for, a simple configuration change will enable our data center to act as an unlimited disk for your appliance. This gives MailFoundry Archive the ability to scale easily without taking the unit out of service. Easy to Use Admin Interface Taking the lead from our customer raves about the clean interface on the MailFoundry Anti-Spam appliances, MailFoundry Archive has a similar interface giving easy, intuitive access to the features and functionality on the appliance. You are never more than a click away from any of the capabilities on the unit. "Appliance" Grade Hardware All MailFoundry Archive appliances are built on robust, top quality server hardware and feature a flash boot device for quick boot load times and increased hardware uptime. So many appliance vendors store their boot volumes on the internal disk which is the highest failure rate item on the device. This isn't a sound appliance practice in our opinion, and over the life of the product it increases the total cost of ownership and greatly increases the impact of hardware failure on the ability to keep the unit in service. Our hardware is built for years of reliable service and gives technically savvy customers the ability to perform simple in-field service without having to ship the entire unit back in the unlikely event of a hardware failure. |
